La Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Granada organiza “BAG5th: International Arts Festival”. Se trata de la quinta edición de su Festival Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo, organizado en colaboración con el Vicerrectorado de Internacionalización de la Universidad de Granada.
BAG es un evento anual que promueve y difunde encuentros e investigaciones artísticas realizados por profesorado y alumnado entrante y saliente vinculado a nuestra Facultad, bajo los distintos programas de movilidad nacional e internacional existentes. Estos encuentros e investigaciones son visibilizados a lo largo del curso académico.
En esta quinta edición, la sala principal de exposiciones de nuestra Facultad acoge la exposición internacional BAG5TH INCOMING STUDENTS: “[the] unsaid, unseen, unspoken / [lo] no dicho, no visto, no hablado”. La muestra podrá visitarse desde el 15 de octubre al 8 de noviembre en horario de mañana y tarde, 10-14h y 17-20h.
Recién inaugurado el curso académico 2021/2022, con una conmovedora vuelta a la presencialidad y cierta normalidad en el día a día de nuestras vidas, BAG5th inaugura su programa con “[the] unsaid, unseen, unspoken / [lo] no dicho, no visto, no contado”. Un proyecto expositivo que abre puertas y fronteras al discurso y producción artística del estudiantado de movilidad entrante a la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Granada. Su objetivo es ofrecer una perspectiva plural sobre la forma en que diferentes culturas y países entienden, idean, desarrollan, observan y reflexionan el discurso artístico, dentro y fuera del espacio expositivo. Se trata, en definitiva, de una muestra multidisciplinar que “repiensa” la experiencia visual a través de lo que el artista decide mostrar y no mostrar. De esta forma, entre luces y sombras, tangos, éxtasis, voces interiores, desaparecidos y paisajes circulares, las obras presentadas invitan a habitar lo inhabitado y sentir cercano lo lejano. Nos invitan, en definitiva, a mirar -con otros ojos- hacia el encuentro con lo no visto, lo no dicho, y lo no contado.
Esta exposición será detonadora de una serie de encuentros y debates llevados a cabo entre sus autores y alumnado/profesorado/artistas de la Universidad de Los Lagos (Osorno, Chile) en el contexto de la Red Patagonia Cultural. En estos encuentros, las piezas actuarán e interactuarán como un espejo en el que observarnos, de “sur a sur”, y reconocernos en situaciones que nos definen, intrigan e identifican culturalmente, a nivel global, haciendo visible lo invisible.
En esta exposición participan estudiantes provenientes de la Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana, Eslovenia; la Accademia Di Belle Arti Di Palermo, Italia; la Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany; la Facultad De Bellas Artes de la Universidad Complutense De Madrid, España; la Facultad De Bellas Artes de la Universidad De Murcia, España; la Kunsthochschule Burg Giebichenstein Halle (Saale), Alemania; la Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, Alemania; University Of Art And Design Cluj-Napoca, Rumanía; y la University Of Fine Arts In Poznań, Polonia.

The Faculty of Fine Arts from the University of Granada hosts “BAG 5th: International Arts Festival”, as the fifth edition of its Contemporary Art International Festival in association with the Vice-deanship for Internationalization from the University of Granada.
“BAG” is a yearly event that promotes and spreads artistic gatherings and research carried out by the incoming and outgoing professorship and students that are linked to our Faculty, under the existing diverse national and international mobility programs. These encounters and research are visualized throughout the academic year.
In this fifth edition, the main exhibition hall of our Faculty embraces the international exhibition BAG5TH INCOMING STUDENTS: "[the] unsaid, unseen, unspoken / [lo] no dicho, no visto, no contado". The exhibition will be open from October 15th to November 8th, from 10 AM to 2 PM and from 5 PM to 8 PM.
With a recently inaugurated academic year 2021/2022, an emotional face-to-face teaching activity and certain normality in the day-to-day of our lives, BAG5th opens its program with "[the] unsaid, unseen, unspoken”, an exhibition project that opens doors and frontiers to the discourse and artistic production of incoming mobility students at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Granada. Its aim is to offer a plural perspective on the way in which different cultures and countries understand, devise, develop, observe and reflect on artistic discourse, inside and outside the exhibition space. In short, it is a multidisciplinary exhibition that "rethinks" the visual experience through what the artist decides to show and not to show. In this way, between lights and shadows, tangos, ecstasy, interior voices, disappeared people and circular landscapes, the presented works invite us to inhabit the uninhabited and to feel the distance close to us. They invite us, in essence, to look - with different eyes - towards the encounter with the unseen, the unsaid, and the unspoken.
This exhibition will trigger a series of meetings and debates between its authors and students/teachers/artists of the Los Lagos University (Osorno, Chile) in the context of the Patagonia Cultural Network. In these encounters, the pieces will act and interact as a mirror in which to observe ourselves, from "south to south", and to recognize ourselves in situations that define, intrigue, and identify us culturally, on a global level, making the invisible visible.
